Angrezi Medium- Sentimental Film Irfan Khan Starring Movie Review

Angrezi Medium: Irfan Khan Starring Movie Review:-

Angrezi Medium
Critic's Rating: 3.5/5

Angrezi Medium Story: Champak Bansal (Irrfan) is an easy, small-town businessman - among the operator's of Ghasitaram sweet store chain - who is leading a comfortable life with his teenaged daughter, Tarika (Radhika Madan).  However, Tarika has dreams - of graduating from a university in London.

The feel and look of the comedy-drama is all things pleasant and small-town --the actors always carry a thick local accent (Radhika's seems a bit forced though) and close attention was paid to what we call a'small-town traits' that beautifully plays out in numerous scenes and sequences as the narrative progresses.  With another in London and one foot in homeland, the background score and the music have been chalked out retaining the two situations in your mind; differentiates the mood and works out fine.

While watching this movie, you can set that thought.  What you see on screen is the celebrity in each frame - in his part.  Irrfan breathes life that nobody else can.  And walking shoulder to shoulder with him is Deepak Dobriyal, another fine actor.  His camaraderie with Irrfan is a testament to how they both are these actors that are well-prepared.  As this rebellious and clueless adolescent, radhika Madan, pulls especially.

Their chemistry is natural, and the portrayal of their characters look so real that conflicts and their issues begin to resonate.  Kiku Sharda, since the childhood buddy of both brothers, is his usual self.   His depiction of Bobby comes as a twist in Shorey and the storyline does justice.  Kareena Kapoor Khan and the chaos after intervals of the movie does in her appearance as cop Naina and add together.  It would have been interesting to see the dynamics of the relationship play out in the film.
Homi Adajania's'Angrezi Medium' touches upon the heartbeat of the young generation's obsession with pursuing research and the decision to adopt every Himalayan hurdle of their family.  There are themes that are underlying but this remains the subject of the movie.

Movie after interval  is much more engaging, however, the narrative goes haywire while trying to fit in a lot of subplots.  There are some moments in the movie, and scenes between the characters which in turn, prove to be the highlights of the drama.  The story is much too convenient and contains but it is made by the exceptional performance of Irrfan Khan worth the watch.

However, unlike her father, she does not wish to restrict her fantasies in she would like to explore what lies beyond her world.  Unaware of what Champak gives into his daughter's wishes, but when it comes down to paying the fee things begin to spiral out of control.  Champak, A father vows to do whatever is required to send his daughter and treads on a course that proves his love for his 'Daughter', but redefines their connection.

'Angrezi Medium' does lose its grip it is currently attempting to bring out, and the message it leaves you with.
